Появилась инфа о новой игре серии PES пока только для знающих английский.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 has finally come out of hiding, with the first screens and information on the biggest sports sequel of the year.
The main feature is the AI has been tweaked. Working under the wonky name 'Teamvision', a name that probably makes Cristiano Ronaldo feel sad inside, the AI can now learn and adapt to any individual style's play. Quite how this translates to on-field play remains to be seen but given the AI has long been the series' achilles heel, this can only be construed as a good move.
The accompanying press release is full of fluff that sounds grand but means nothing ("Close control has also been enhanced with more control when dribbling the ball") but a few meaty morsels of information can be picked out of its grubby teeth. For example, you can now control the position of the defensive wall for free-kicks, rather than simply having the option of having the wall lower its head and charge the ball like sporting rhinos. Or Roy Keane. Meanwhile, defenders are more likely to close down space and chase back, good news if you ever conceded an infuriating goal due to one of your defenders scratching his arse and wondering why everyone is running about.
Konami has also decided it's not worth risking the wrath of Xbox 360 fans again and have actually included an Edit mode this team, perfect for keeping your teams up-to-date/recreating your pub footy team on the pitch with Fat Chris in goal.
"We have taken a long hard look at what has made the Pro Evolution Soccer series so popular, and where we want to take it next," commented Shingo 'Seabass' Takatsuka, creator of the series and Producer of PES 2008. "With the new Teamvision AI system, we truly believe that we have elevated the game to a new level. The movement of players off the ball, coupled with the total control given to the player, creates the closest simulation of real football to date. We really hope everyone enjoys our evolution. I promise it will be worth the wait." Then again, he would say that. It's his game. It's not like he's going to say "it's alright, I s'pose" and shrug. No release date yet but as always, we'll pass on new information as soon as we get it.

Если все будет выглядеть как на скриншотах, то я готов продать душу (и все остальное) дьяволу..
